This past year we had a practice assessment completed by IHN. It was a thorough process highlighting not only the areas we are excelling at and our strengths, but also those we needed a better tracking system to monitor and improve upon. It was a focus on KPI’s, business practices and data tracking. This along with some other factors ultimately prompted us to move towards a new Electronic Medical records system with enhanced reporting features.
Being a member of IHN as a clinic administrator has been invaluable. This is a team of professionals who digs into the questions and concerns that impact the needs of our independent specialty general surgery clinic, as well as other independent specialty and primary care practices. Our monthly administrator meetings are relevant, information filled, and an opportunity share knowledge and ideas. I learn something new at every meeting.
